What is the maximum number of hours I can work in a week before it is considered overtime?

The FLSA stipulates that a full workweek may not exceed 40 hours for a nonexempt employee unless he or she is receiving overtime wages. For each additional hour after 40, employers must pay them time and half. For example, if your wage is $10 an hour, each hour after 40 you will receive $15 an hour.

If you are working overtime but not receiving overtime wages, contact overtime collection attorneys Tycko & Zavareei LLP by calling 202-973-0900 for a free case evaluation.
